When I was 13, my great-aunt Jeanie died of melanoma.

When early symptoms appeared, she and her husband hesitated to seek care because of the cost. By the time she saw a doctor, the cancer had advanced. That delay cost her life.

She was in her forties. It was preventable, but she didn’t have health insurance.

She was the kind of person who made people feel at home instantly.

Warm, generous, unforgettable. She should still be here.

Years later, I lost my aunt Rhonda to complications from an autoimmune disease. She, too, went years without consistent access to healthcare.

Without early diagnosis and treatment, her condition worsened until it became irreversible.

These are not isolated stories.

Across the state, Washingtonians are making decisions about their health based on cost, not what they need.

That’s not a personal failure.

It’s a system that isn’t delivering.

I am running for State House because no one should have to wait, worry, or go without care because of the cost.

As your State Representative, I will focus on making healthcare more affordable, accessible, and reliable.

Send me to Olympia and I will fight for…

  • legislation that moves Washington towards a universal healthcare system

  • expanding Apple Health eligibility

  • closing coverage gaps reduce healthcare costs for working families

  • simplifying how people enroll in and use their health coverage

  • and more
